WEB POS with E-Shop - FAQ

Q1. What if my internet connection failed? Will my business operation interrupted?
A1. Your sale operation is not interrupted. You may use the Excel file we provided to store the sales data temporary. When internet connection resume, you may upload the sale data to the Web POS.
Q2. How to backup my data in Web POS?
A2. You may backup all the data anytime from the Web POS system. Our company will also backup periodically for customers.
Q3. Is Web POS slow?
A3. All programs in the Web POS are carefully tuned so that its internet bandwidth requirement is minimal. You will find the system running fast and smooth with an ordinary broadband internet connection. (try the speed with the Trial Version!)
Q4. If many people use the online shop or Web POS at the same time, will the speed of the system slow down?
A4. Our system can handle multi access and the speed change is not observable.
Q5. What if my computer failed?
A5. Since all the data are stored in the web server, not in your computer, all you need to do is to replace another computer, and the Web POS will run again.
Q6. How to upgrade from Trail version to Licensed Version?
A6. You may purchase the Licensed Version from our website or contact us directly. After the upgrade, all existing data are not affected. You system will continue to operate.
Q7. Can I install the Web POS with E-shop in my web server or in a 3rd party web hosting provider?
A7. Currently, this system MUST host in our company's web server. If you want to install it in your own server, please contact us for details. (This option is not recommended for non IT professional !)
Q8. Is a bar code reader compulsory for this system?
A8. This system can work with or without a bar code reader.
Q9. What printers are supported for this system?
A9. This system supports A4 printers, 58mm or 80mm invoice printers.
Q10. How do I know that a model of 58mm or 80mm invoice printer can work with the system?
A10. The printer must support printing from the web browser, as most printers do. But a few invoice printers only accept pos commands, which may not be suitable.
Q11. What picture size and format is suitable?
A11. Files of .jpg or .gif format can be accepted. Picture size of about 200x200 pixel is most suitable. Pictures of larger size, smaller size or different aspect ratio are not a problem, since our system will adjust the pictures automatically.
